Amazing Grace

James 5:14-18
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

How powerful is this promise?

Today, I am just so thankful for the Word. Because Jesus has given us a written instruction manual on how to live. There are answers for everything in the Bible for those who are looking. It is as applicable today as it was a hundred years ago. His Word is Truth.

I am thanful for....

#1 The Word of God

#2 Being able to start a Women's Bible Study group today

#3 That I accomplished one of my "To Do's" in life by reading an entire Book of the Bible. It was James, and it was 5 Chapters, but I did it..and it felt so good. Not because I'd accomplished it - but because His Word is now hidden in my heart and I am listening, watching my own actions, words and thoughts and I am on fire!

#4 My son. Jake received the honor of "Student of the Month". We celebrated by Grandma treating us to dinner at Strings (Italian Food) and he was just thrilled to pieces (and so were the girls)

#5 For my children. Because they are a true blessing, full of questions and full of life. I love them with all that I have and all that I am.

#6 For Cayleigh Jean's newest - PRAISE JESUS! She reaches up to grab Daddy's beard over and over and over again. AND, she usually pulls away and rolls away from her breathing treatments. ...today, however, she decided to PUSH/HIT the tube away with her hand, over and over and over again! *Fist Bump For Jesus!*

#7 For my church. It's a FANTASTIC church! I'm so blessed and glad to have met this amazing woman named Juanita tonight (her and Jesus are 'like this' *crosses fingers)

#8 For my SALVATION. God is GOOD - can I get an AMEN?

#9 My hubby. Because he is always on my Blessings list. Marrying him was one of the greatest blessings in my entire life. Not only did I say I DO, He did TOO!

For that, I am thankful!
