Well I've got good news and then I've got great news. *GRIN*

Cayleigh's grandparents got to see her for the FIRST TIME today! Grammy and Grandpy Dulik flew in last night from Florida to see the little miss. Their timing couldn't have been any better.

Cayleigh has been doing really terrific and we feel SO BLESSED that she's made these strides of progress over the last week or so. She's tolerating bollus feeds really well. She's not needing the suctioning nearly as much (or at all) and is doing EXCELLENT on her stats. I'm amazed at the hand of the Lord in this entire process. He had hear our prayers and has begun to answer them, in His time, and bless us all. Please keep her lifted in prayer for continued success. Stable saturation level, stable heartrate level, that she tolerate her feeds well, that she be comfortable and more alert and aware, that she have increased flexibility and movements and that she cry and be free from illness/infection.

We are so excited because Cayleigh isn't going to have to wear a harness coming home. Down the line, somewhere between 6 mos - 2 years she will require a time where they will push her hips into alignment using xray (Cayleigh will be sedated) and then put casts on her entire legs/hips. There will be an opening for her hooha and butt so she can be changed and go potty. Oh, and no boots/splints. They said she doesn't need the splints on her feet so thats a good thing too - yesterday they were saying she needed them. They were actually going to fit her for them right then and there but Mel and Nic said Oh NO You AREN'T - because they didn't want them moving her all around after she'd just had a bollus feeding.

Did I mention Nic and I are going to be staying at the hospital both Saturday and Sunday night with Cayleigh. They are prepping her to go home - by Tuesday at the earliest! HOW EXCITING IS THAT?!

We'll have Oxygen at the house and portable, a suctioning machine, her feeding machine for the continuous night feeds she'll be on from 9pm-7am, and then her G-tube stuff.
It's scary but exciting. I can't WAIT.
